Fatema is years old and is in fifth grade at a primary school in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Since she was little, her teachers saw her enthusiasm for learning and helping the other boys and girls in the class. An enthusiasm that she has shown during the pandemic by explaining to her neighbors how they should take care of her health to avoid contagion and how to continue learning despite having schools closed. She is clear that in the future she wants to be a police officer to contribute to the well-being of society. And she was moving towards that goal little by little until COVID- stopped her dreams, although only temporarily . The schools closed, her parents lost their jobs due to the confinement and her family began to have serious economic problems, worse than those they suffered due to poverty.
However, she managed to continue her studies at home through distance sessions with her teachers, she also helped other students to continue studying and managed to maintain contact with her friends. The strictest phase of confinement ended after a few months, but schools were still closed. And Fatema observed how, despite the virus Cell Phone Number List spreading rapidly, people did not comply with recommended health and hygiene measures. Thus, with the approval of her parents, she began to raise awareness about the coronavirus within her community. "I was concerned to see people ignoring all safety measures. They were putting themselves and others in danger, so I gathered enough courage and began to convey the messages I learned from my teachers, from television and from other sources "I tried to modify the messages in such a way that they were easy to understand and encouraged people to stay safe and ensure the safety of their family," explains Fatema.

At first it was not easy to talk to people, not everyone appreciated that a girl her age shared awareness messages. But her people skills and the confidence she inspires helped her a lot. She even got some of the community members and some classmates to accompany her in this awareness activity. "People didn't pay much attention to me and didn't pay attention to what I was telling them. But I did not lose hope and tried to explain my views with various examples again and again. Finally, many understood my intention and the importance of what I was saying,” she proudly tells us. Fatema firmly believes that “education gives you the confidence to succeed” and believes that these COVID- awareness activities will serve as a stepping stone towards her future. She knows that the road will not be easy, but she is convinced that she will overcome all the obstacles that come her way . And for this she has the support of her mother, who works as a domestic worker, one of the people who inspires her every day.
